What is Remote Online Notary?

Remote Online Notarization is a legally recognized process that allows documents to be notarized through a live audio-video session. Identity is verified using multi-factor authentication, and the notarization is completed electronically in real time.

RON is ideal for urgent, out-of-state, after-hours, or accessibility-based needs.

Step 1: Upload Your Document

You’ll receive a secure meeting link from your notary. Simply upload your completed—but unsigned—document to the virtual session before your appointment begins.

Step 2: Join the Platform

You’ll be prompted to create a secure login on our trusted notary platform. Be sure to remember your credentials — you’ll use them later to access, download, and manage your notarized documents.

Step 3: Verify Your Identity

Before your session starts, complete a quick identity verification process. The platform will ask a few knowledge-based questions (KBA) and request a photo ID check to confirm your identity.

Step 4: Get Notarized

Your notary will join the secure online session, verify your photo ID once more, and review your document with you before signing. You’ll then digitally sign your document, and your notary will complete the notarization in real time.​

Step 5: Get Your Documents

Once notarized, your document is immediately available for download and printing. You’ll also have permanent access through your online account — and your digital notarization is considered a true, original document, not a copy.
